George was born in Germany at the age of zero and moved to England when he was six months old (not on his own, his parents brought him). Twelve years later, he would be brought again to a new country, where he would spend the next 12 years learning what it was to be a Canadian.
When he was 24, George moved to Australia (on his own this time), but after just six months, he abandoned his visa and returned to where he felt most at home. Shortly after returning to Canada, George met his wife, Jessie, and they had their daughter, Lilly. In 2017 they bought their first home together in Paris, Ontario and have lived there happily ever since.
Having moved across continents more than once, George understands that “home” isn’t just a place. It’s a feeling, a sense of belonging, and the people you share it with.
